RAHIM YAR KHAN: The City B-Division Police Station on Sunday registered a case against a vlogger, a fruit vendor by profession, on charges of blasphemy for disrespecting the companions of the Prophet (PBUH).

According to the first information report (FIR), Sub-Inspector Munawar Maqsood, along with an ASI and other officials, was on patrol at Dari Sanghi Bridge. He watched a video on his mobile phone which showed the suspect, a resident of Dari Sanghi Bridge, standing on the Abu Dhabi Road and recording a vlog that he uploaded on his TikTok account and Facebook page.

In the video, the man spoke about his interaction with a mobile phone shop owner and their discussion about a sectarian matter. He allegedly engaged in highly objectionable, insulting and provocative language and verbal abuse regarding some companions of the Prophet (PBUH). According to police, it created a threat of spreading religious hatred and disturbing public peace.
