Hingol, Himalayas register big wins in U-17 football

ISLAMABAD: Balochistan Hingol and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Himalayas registered convincing victories in the PFF National U-17 Championship 2026 here on Sunday, with Hingol defeating Gilgit-Baltistan Karakoram 5-1 before Himalayas thrashed Sindh Mehran 6-0 at Jinnah Stadium.

Hingol took control against Karakoram after Noman opened the scoring in the 26th minute with a powerful drive into the corner.

Syed Wasif doubled the lead in the 43rd minute with a free-kick before Sajjad added another a minute later after Hingol launched a swift counterattack down the left.

Shahid extended Hingol’s advantage in the 63rd minute, reacting quickest after the Karakoram goalkeeper failed to hold a header.

Zameer completed the scoring for Hingol in the 89th minute, following up after his initial effort was saved to put the rebound into the net.

Karakoram managed a consolation goal in the third minute of stoppage time when Hassan finished an individual effort.

In the second match, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Himalayas produced an emphatic display against Sindh Mehran, dominating possession and creating chances from across the pitch.

Taimoor opened the scoring in the sixth minute and Armaq doubled the lead in the 20th. Taimoor struck again seven minutes later before Armaq added his second in the 45th minute to give Himalayas a 4-0 lead at half-time.

Taimoor completed his hat-trick five minutes after the restart, while Irmad rounded off the scoring in the 70th minute. The two matches produced 12 goals, adding to an increasingly high-scoring championship in Islamabad.
