BAHAWALPUR: The body of an unidentified young woman, suspected to have been murdered, was found floating in a canal near Chak No. 35/WB within the limits of Saddar police station, Vehari, on Saturday.

According to Vehari police PRO, a team reached the scene after receiving an emergency call. With the assistance of Rescue 1122 personnel, they retrieved the body.

Officials of the forensic unit also reached the scene. According to police, no visible torture marks were found on the body, and the possibility that the woman had been drugged before her death was being considered.
