KARACHI, July 26: Two more suspects behind the killing of Allama Hasan Turabi were picked up by the Anti-Violent Crime Cell of the police, sources said on Wednesday.

They said that the two suspects, identified as Abdul Kalam and Hamza, were picked up during raids at various localities on the lead given by the arrested suspects, who were shown at a press briefing on Tuesday.

However, the top ranking police officers did not confirm the arrest of the two suspects but the sources in the police said that Abdul Kalam and Hamza were expert in stuffing the jacket with explosive for a suicide bomber.

In the evening, Kariman and Abdul Rahim the mother and the brother respectively of the suspected suicide bomber , identified as Abdul Karim, were taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where their blood samples were obtained and sent for DNA tests, police and hospital sources said.

The police arrested three suspects and showed them before the press on Tuesday.
