In an informal meeting with editors and senior journalists … he said that this was a major achievement as compared to the world democratic countries. He said that the Commission had been able to create … awareness … among the people … about their franchise right. — News agencies

[Meanwhile, as reported by news agencies from Mexico City], developing countries meeting here … drafted the ‘Mexico City Statement’ which aims at fairer treatment at the hands of the industrialised world.
