West Indies arriving on Nov 6

LAHORE, July 24: The West Indies cricket team will tour Pakistan from Nov 6 this year to play three Tests and five One-day Internationals according to the itinerary sent by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to its counterpart on Monday for approval.

PCB Director Cricket Operations, Saleem Altaf, said the itinerary was sent after the West Indies confirmed the proposed tour on the eve of the ICC meeting in England earlier this month.

Saleem said the visitors may arrive four days ahead of the schedule in case of an early exit from the ICC Champions Trophy in India.

“It would be difficult for them to head home from India if they are eliminated at an early stage of the Champions Trophy.

“The PCB has agreed to accommodate them if the situation arises. A three-day match may also be added to the itinerary," he said.

The visitors would play Tests at Lahore, Karachi, and Multan while the ODIs are scheduled for Lahore, Karachi, Faisalabad, Multan, and Rawalpindi.

Saleem said since Zimbabwe’s tour of Pakistan, which was planned for September, had been cancelled the PCB was considering an offer from Abu Dhabi Cricket Club to play a triangular series.
