Aamir captures eight-wkt haul

KARACHI, July 24: Leg spinner Aamir Khan captured a tournament best return of eight for 20 as Zone-II Blues thrashed Zone-V Greens by seven wickets in the KCCA Inter-zonal Under-15 cricket championship at the TMC Ground on Sunday.

Aamir’s 15.3-over spell proved unplayable as Zone-V Greens crashed to 95 all out in the 42nd over.

Zone-II Blues, in reply, reached their target for the loss of three wickets in 19.3 overs.

At KCCA Stadium, Zone-VI Whites sailed into the last four round when they beat Zone-VII Whites by eight wickets thanks to unbeaten half centuries by Talha Khan and Abdullah Shah.

Talha hit eight boundaries in his 80 and Abdullah Shah got 77 not out laced with six fours. The pair added 172 for the third wicket.
