ISLAMABAD, July 21: Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) on Friday staged a protest demonstration to condemn Israeli attacks on Lebanon and killing of innocent people there.

The main protest demonstration in this regard originated from Lal Masjid after Juma prayers. Liaquat Baloch, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri and a number of religious scholars led the rally.

The protesters marched up to the busiest Aabpara Chowk where the MMA leaders made fiery speeches condemning Israel and urging the Muslim ummah to unite against the infidel forces.

Meanwhile, Tehrik-e-Nifaz-e-Fiqa Jaffria staged a protest demonstration to condemn the Israeli attacks on Lebanon. The demonstration was participated by women, children and the elderly. Similarly, two separate demonstrations were organised by the activists of Imamia Students Organisation.

Carrying banners and placards inscribed with slogans against Israel, the protesters accused the big powers, especially the United States, of supporting the Zionists.
