LAHORE: Police arrested a police constable and his accomplice for their alleged involvement in a honey-trap case in tehsil Alipur of district Muzaffargarh.

Motorcycle showroom owner Pervaiz lodged a complaint, stating that he was called at the house of Chaudhry Mahboob where Bilal, Qazi Ahmad and two unidentified women were present for partying. He said they were partying when constables Tanveer, Sakhawat and Samiullah and three unidentified persons reached there, tortured him, made his naked videos and threatened him of dire consequences.

Pervaiz said the policemen and their accomplices after recording the videos demanded Rs1.5m to release him and snatched his mobile phone and Rs30,000 on the scene. He managed to settle the matter after paying them Rs300,000.

Alipur city police registered the case against the four suspects, including the policemen, and started an investigation.

SHO Asghar Kashif told Dawn that he had conducted the raids after registering the case and arrested two suspects, including a constable. He said raids were being conducted to arrest the other suspects.
