QUETTA, July 21: Jamhori Watan Party secretary general Senator Shahid Hassan Bugti has urged the chief justice of the Supreme Court, the standing committee of parliament on human rights and international human rights organisations to take notice of illegal arrests of people in Balochistan.

In a statement issued here on Friday, the JWP leader claimed that his nephew sub-divisional engineer Jamal Bugti, was arrested on June 23 in Quetta, while his brother Bilal Bugti and cousin Mir Murtaza Bugti were held in Karachi on July 14 by intelligence agencies.

He said the abduction of his relatives and a brother of Senator Sana Baloch by intelligence agencies was aimed at putting pressure on the political parties struggling for the rights of the Baloch people.

Senator Bugti said the rulers has no respect of the judiciary, parliament and human rights, otherwise the law-enforcement agencies would have presented the detainees in a court.
