LAKKI MARWAT, July 21: Activists of the Contractors’ Association staged a protest demonstration outside the district headquarters complex here on Friday to put pressure on the officials concerned to release their arrears.

The protesters, led by the association’s district president Haji Mohammad Zaman Tajazai, marched to the office of the district nazim from the office of executive district officer, works and services department.

They held a meeting with District Naib Nazim Qudratullah Khan.

Later talking to journalists, Mr Zaman, Karim Jan Begukhel, Mohammad Idrees Khan and others warned that the contractors would block roads if the authorities concerned did not ensure release of the arrears till July 27.
