United States Chargé d’Affaires to Pakistan Natalie Baker has appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in navigating the regional conflict and its economic implications while maintaining economic and financial stability, in a meeting with Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb.
According to the ministry of finance, Baker called on Aurangzeb to discuss Pakistan-US economic relations and opportunities to further strengthen bilateral economic cooperation.
Aurangzeb briefed her on measures the government was taking to manage the evolving situation, including the recent move towards daily price revisions for petroleum products to align domestic prices more closely with international market conditions.
“Baker reaffirmed US support for Pakistan’s economic reform agenda and appreciated the government’s efforts to stabilise the economy amid challenging circumstances,” the ministry said.
