HYDERABAD: A gallery was inaugurated in Shaheed Allah Bukhsh Soomro (SABS) Univer­sity of Art, Design and Heritages, Jamshoro, to showcase portraits and photos of the country’s national heroes as part of the celebrations marking the country’s Indepen­dence Day, being observed on August 14.

It featured AI-gene­rated portraits and creative posters designed by the students of the university, paying tribute to the contributions of heroes/ personalities across various fields. The National Heroes Gallery highlighted the achievements and sacrifices of the distinguished Pakistanis, who have played remarkable roles in armed forces, politics, education, science, literature, sports, social service and arts.

The exhibition reflected the university’s commitment to promoting patriotism, creativity and historical awareness among the students through innovative artistic expression.

Among prominent personalities showcased in the gallery were Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah, Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, Allama Mohammad Iqbal, Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed, Abdul Sattar Edhi, Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan, Major Aziz Bhatti Shaheed, Captain Karnal Sher Khan Shaheed, Rashid Minhas Shaheed, Malala Yousafzai, and other icons representing Pakistan’s rich legacy of leadership, sacrifice, innovation and excellence.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Arabella Bhutto said that National Heroes Gallery has been established to inspire young people by introducing them to extraordinary achievements, sacrifices and services of Pakistan’s great personalities.

She emphasised that such initiatives help strengthen national identity and encourage students to follow the values of dedication, courage and excellence demonstrated by these heroes.

The VC appreciated students for utilising the AI to create impressive portraits and creative posters, describing the exhibition as an excellent example of integrating modern technology with art, history and national consciousness.

She noted that the students’ innovative work reflected both their artistic talent and their deep respect for the country’s illustrious heritage.

The exhibition attracted students, faculty members, officers and staff, who appreciated creative presentation and meaningful tribute to the Pakistan’s national heroes.
