Truck driver shot dead

KARACHI: A 40-year-old truck driver was shot dead by unknown suspects near Ghaghar Phatak along the National Highway on Thursday.

SHO Faisal Rafiq of the Bin Qasim police station said that the assailants riding a car shot dead the driver, Bashir Najeeb, when he opened his parked truck’s door to come out of it at the area’s truck stand.

The victim was rushed to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where doctors pronounced him dead on arrival. The police believed some personal enmity to be the motive behind the murder.
