KARACHI, July 17: Three-year-old chestnut filly, Abhi Abhi, is tipped to live to her reputation sprinting to victory in the Summer Gymkhana race meeting at the Karachi Racecourse on Tuesday.

With two wins on trot Abhi Abhi was on course for hat trick in the last meeting held on July 9 but the racing fraternity alleged that she was not allowed to run on merit.

The filly even failed to finish on the board as Chaleswan Chur belonging to the same connection, romped home by seven lengths.

On her current form, she is fancied to make amends and starts as our days’ best among 12 contenders in the five furlongs sixth race of the programme.

She should be chased by mare Velvet Green and filly Gwenivare.

A card of seven races all going over a sprinting distance of five furlongs has been drawn for the day.

The first race begins at 2.pm.

Five-year-old bay mare, Silent Love, should gallop to victory in the opener which has a field of 7 runners.

Prior to finishing third in the last outing, she came up with good performances by attaining top honours in the two successive meetings. Her likely challengers are Al Jarrar and Champion Express.

The next race should be dominated by three-year-old bay filly, Annaba, who is poised to make it two in a row. Daruwala and Sparkling Lady may fight it out for places.

If tried by the connections, mare Fizza should pick up spoils in the third race. However, she should have to overcome Kinjehar and Ladla in her quest to land the race.

King Of The Field, a six-year-old dark bay horse, should make amends of previous loss by picking up the fourth race.

After capturing two races in a row, he was among those who also ran in the last appearance.

Desperado and First Shot should settle it out for places among seven runners in the field.

Three-year-old filly, Miss Milee, and five-year-old bay horse, Chaleswan Chur, are fancied to annex the remaining two races.

The two horses are owned by Shah Mardan Shah Pir Pagara and trained by Sher Mohammad.

Following is the field and our selection.
