RAHIM YAR KHAN: Five people chopped the nose of a man on suspicion of his friendship with a woman on Saturday in Bagho Bahar area of tehsil Khanpur.

According to the first information report registered with the Islamgarh Police Station, Ikhtiar Hussain, Fazal Hussain, Ijaz, Qurban and Riaz and an unidentified man of Chak 99-1/L quarrelled with Muhammad Riaz on the doubt that he had developed friendship with their sister (P).

During the quarrel, Ikhtiar, abetted by others, chopped off the nose of Riaz with a knife. Police have registered the case and arrested three of the suspects.

ACCIDENT: Three persons died when a crane collided with a car and motorcycle after its driver lost control at FFC Chowk Goth Machi in Sadiqabad tehsil.

According to rescuers, Bushra, 50, Muzammil, 30, and Shifaullah, 5, residents of Mai Di Goth Sanjarpur, died on the spot. The bodies of the deceased were shifted to THQ Hospital, Sadiqabad.
