QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti has met JUI-F’s Balochistan chief Senator Maulana Abdul Wasey to discuss the province’s law and order situation, with both leaders stressing the need for collective efforts to ensure lasting peace and stability in the province.

During the meeting, the chief minister said establishing durable peace in Balochistan remained the provincial government’s foremost priority, adding that the constructive role of political, religious and social leaders was vital to achieving the objective.

Mr Bugti said the entire nation must stand united against terrorism and anti-state elements to ensure sustainable peace and stability in the province.

He said the government was utilising all available resources to safeguard the lives and property of citizens and reaffirmed its commitment to promoting development, prosperity and the rule of law.

Maulana Wasey underscored the importance of joint efforts to restore peace, saying the province’s challenges could be addressed through mutual consultation, political harmony and national unity.

Separately, the chief minister visited the residence of martyred District and Sessions Judge Abdul Hakeem Kakar to offer condolences to the bereaved family.
