KARACHI: The Ministry of Finance, in collaboration with the State Bank of Pakistan and capital market institutions, raised Rs239.325 billion through the inaugural issuance of Short-Term Government of Pakistan Hybrid Sukuk through the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
According to a press release issued on Wednesday, the auction introduced three-month and six-month Shariah-compliant instruments backed by sovereign guarantee, extending the range of tenors under the GoP Sukuk programme.
The issue received bids worth Rs770.234bn in face value, equivalent to Rs741.287bn in realised value, reflecting strong investor interest. The finance ministry accepted about 32 per cent of bids.
The issuance was jointly facilitated by Meezan Bank-led JFAs and CMIIs including PSX, NCCPL and CDCPL.
