Iran’s military says it destroyed US Lucas drone

The Iranian military has said its navy air defence systems intercepted and shot down an American Lucas drone in southern Iran, Al Jazeera reports.

Iran’s IRNA news agency showed a photo of what appears to be a damaged drone.

US forces started using the Lucas – Low-cost Uncrewed Combat Attack System – drones in Iran earlier this year.
