United States President Donald Trump has said it is “ridiculous” for the country to continue its “one-sided” relationship to Nato, less than a week before a summit in Ankara, AFP reports.

“They were not there for us!!!” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform, adding that Washington’s relationship with Nato “is not reciprocal”.

Trump has repeatedly lashed out at European allies over their response to the war on Iran.
