President stresses need to boost provinces’ cooperation

QUETTA: President Asif Ali Zardari on Wednesday stressed the need to strengthen interprovincial cooperation for addressing public concerns and ensuring national stability.

The president made these remarks in a meeting with Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti, who called on him in Karachi to discuss various issues faced by their provinces.

The primary focus of the discussions was interprovincial issues related to the federal government, along with various mutual interests.

President Zardari suggested that strengthening relations across provincial lines will enhance efforts to resolve pressing issues.

He said that the issues discussed in the meeting regarding Sindh and Balochistan would be resolved as well.
