NAROWAL: A child died and three others suffered injuries when the roof of a house collapsed during construction and renovation work. Rescue 1122 spokesperson said a call was received from Ganj Husainabad reporting that the roof had suddenly caved in while renovation work was underway.

Rescue teams rushed to the scene and, with the help of local residents, launched an operation to pull the victims from from the rubble.

According to the spokesperson, Sahir (9), Asma (16), Shazia Bibi (38) and Qaiser (50) were trapped under the debris and sustained serious injuries.

Sahir succumbed to his injuries at the scene due to his critical condition.

Rescue personnel provided first aid to the injured before shifting them to the Narowal District Headquarters Hospital for further treatment. After completing the necessary legal formalities, the rescue team handed over the child’s body to his family.
