The court declared two brothers named in the case, including Mohammad Islam Khan and Jan Mohammad, of Rashid Garhi area, proclaimed offenders and issued perpetual arrest warrants for them.

The accused was convicted and sentenced on two counts. He was sentenced to life imprisonment for the student’s murder and was also sentenced to 10-year rigorous imprisonment for injuring the bank officer.

Convict Allah Jan was accused of killing a student of BS botany (final semester) of Science Superior College, Danyal Zeb, and injuring his uncle, Jehangir Khan, who is a manager in the Bank of Khyber, at their hujra in Mohmandabad area on August 10, 2023.

The FIR of the incident was registered at the Agha Mir Jani Shah Yakatoot police station, wherein the three accused persons had been charged.

The convict remained in hiding for around 20 days before approaching the court for pre-arrest bail.

He was granted interim pre-arrest bail on Aug 29, 2023, which was not confirmed afterward. He was arrested in the courtroom on Sept 13, 2023.

Advocate Hussain Ali appeared for the complainant and said that the accused facing trial was directly named in the case for the commission of the offence.

He argued that the prosecution witnesses had clearly deposed against the accused and their testimony was in accordance with the prosecution version of the occurrence.

The lawyer added that the accused had killed a young student, so he didn’t deserve leniency.
