Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has congratulated Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on the signing of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding between the United States and Iran, according to a post on X by the Foreign Office.
The Azerbaijani FM appreciated Pakistan’s “sincere and sustained diplomatic efforts as a mediator that contributed to this important development” in a phone call.
“Both sides noted this positive development as an important step towards lasting peace and stability for the region, as well as towards strengthening confidence in the global economic outlook,” the FO adds.
