Sikh Gurdwara caretaker, wife killed in Mardan

MARDAN: A man and his wife were killed when an unidentified assailant opened fire inside a Gurdwara located in the Babu Mohallah of the Khwaja Ganj Bazaar here on Wednesday.

Police and Rescue 1122 officials said the deceased were reportedly serving as caretakers of the Gurdwara.

A contingent of police immediately reached the scene and launched an investigation.

Mardan district police officer Masood Ahmad, SSP investigations Maria Mustafa, the ASP city, the SHO Hoti police station, and other officials also rushed to the crime scene and collected evidence.

According to police, investigations are ongoing from multiple angles, and efforts are being made to arrest perpetrators and bring them to justice.
