Army clinch title

ISLAMABAD, July 10: Army won the National women's karate championship at the Pakistan Sports Complex with Wapda taking the second spot and Railways finishing third.

The winners landed four gold and two silver medals to lay their hands on the trophy.

Wapda picked up two gold, three silver and two bronzes while Railways had to be content with a silver and three bronze medals.

Below 44kg: Rahila Shaheen (Army), Yasmin Kausar (Wapda), Ana Farshad (Police), Naila Farshad (Police)

Below 48kg: Hina Azeem (Army), Ghulshan Khan (Railways), Ghulam Fatima (Wapda), Ana Tahir (Punjab).

Below 53kg: Sara Nasir (Army), Benish Khan (Wapda), Uzma Asghar (Wapda), Huma Asghar (Railways).

Below 60kg: Kulsoom Hazara (Wapda), Huma Tabasoom (Army), Asma Safdar (Railways), Humera Akhter (Police).

Individual kata: Kulsoom Hazara (Wapda), Rehila Shaheen (Army), Hira Khalid (Islamabad), Farah Malik (Punjab).
