'Much bigger than a mistake': Former US VP Pence slams Iran agreement

Former US vice president Mike Pence says that Washington’s agreement with Tehran is “much bigger than a mistake”.

“In this moment, the posture that we’re getting from the Iranians … my concern is what appears to be leaking out, these immediate concessions, particularly sanctions waivers right out of the gate that would essentially be a lifeline to the Iranian regime,” Pence, who served as VP during President Donald Trump’s first term, tells CNN.

“I think it’s ill-advised. We ought to keep the pressure on, keep the blockade on and if need be, let our armed forces get back to work,” he adds.
