ISLAMABAD: Two women were murdered allegedly by their husbands in separate incidents in the capital, police said.
In the first incident, a retired police sub-inspector gunned down his wife over a domestic issue in his house at Ghouri Town. The victim was identified as Ishrat Fatima, 40.
Preliminary police investigation suggested that the couple had a domestic dispute. Before the incident, they had an argument during which the man pulled out a pistol and shot her dead.
In another incident, a woman was stabbed to death allegedly by her husband in E-11.
The couple was residing in a flat and the victim was identified as Mahnoor Muzamil, 26, a native of Khanewal.
They also had an argument over a domestic issue. The man attacked her with a sharp-edge weapon and slit her threat. The woman died on the spot.
