ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (Iesco) has made it clear that non-payment of dues will not be tolerated.

Iesco Chief Executive Officer Ch Khalid Mahmood stated that the ongoing crackdown for the recovery of electricity dues across the region had been intensified.

“Special recovery teams have been constituted to accelerate the collection process and ensure the protection of national resources as well as the uninterrupted supply of electricity to consumers,” he said.

Mr Mahmood urged consumers to clear their electricity bills without delay in order to avoid the inconvenience of disconnection and potential legal action.

He advised consumers not to wait until the due date and instead make timely payments to fulfil their civic responsibility and support Iesco’s efforts in maintaining a reliable power distribution system.

He said consumers’ cooperation was essential for the efficient operation of the electricity network and provision of quality services.
