Police to check entry to AJK at four points

RAWALPINDI: Special police checkpoints have been established at four entry and exit points to Azad Kashmir from Rawalpindi district in the wake of violent protests and unrest in the sensitive region.

According to sources, special police checkpoints, composed of Rawalpindi police and city traffic police personnel of Rawalpindi, have been established at Azad Patan, Kohala Murree, Holar Bridge, Dan Gali and Mangla.

The police have been deployed at the four points to ensure the safety of public movement.

Meanwhile, several people, including police personnel, had been killed during the recent clashes between the forces and protesters in Rawalakot city.
