KARACHI: A woman died of ‘torture’ allegedly by her husband in Lyari on Tuesday.

Police Surgeon Dr Summaiya Syed said the body of Hina Saleem was brought to the Civil Hospital Karachi for a post-mortem examination, which was conducted. “There are injuries on the upper part of the body,” she said.

The police in a statement said that Hina’s heirs alleged that she was “tortured to death by her husband”.

The police were interrogating the husband and investigating the case, it added.
