LAHORE: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has arrested five suspects for ‘online harassment’ of women.

According to the NCCIA, two suspects – Nadeem Ahmed and Muhammad Ahsan – were arrested in Lahore for allegedly sharing defamatory and obscene content related to women through social media and other digital platforms.

Khan, a resident of Kasur, was taken into custody for allegedly sharing ‘objectionable’ content against women through TikTok.

During a raid in Faisalabad, Zulfiqar and Rehan were arrested for allegedly sharing a woman’s ‘objectionable’ photos and videos via WhatsApp, and blackmailing a woman by threatening to upload her pictures, respectively. Forensic evidence also revealed instances of online harassment and threats.
