MMA rally against price hike

GUJRANWALA, July 7: Activists of the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal, including Jamaat-i-Islami and Shabab-i-Milli, took out a procession on Friday against the government failure to check price hike.

They gathered outside Sheranwala Bagh and later paraded on GT Road. They were carrying banners and playcards inscribed with anti-government slogans. They dispersed after reaching the old city railway station.

Speakers said the government had completely failed to check the price hike and people were committing suicides.

ELECTROCUTED: An electrician was electrocuted in Garjakh here on Friday.

Irshad was rectifying a ceiling fan when he received a shock. He was rushed to hospital where he died.
