KOHAT: The Water and Sanitation Services Company Kohat has concluded the Eidul Azha cleanliness campaign and disposed of approximately 2,310 tonnes of sacrificial animal waste in an environment friendly manner.
In a press release issued here, the company said the operation involved 90 vehicles and around 400 staff members, while 253 collection points and 22 transfer stations were established to facilitate waste collection.
The company distributed 3,000 biodegradable bags among citizens.
Cleaning operations, water supply services, and complaint management remained active throughout the three days of Eid.
The 15 public complaints received during the campaign were resolved promptly.
The collected waste was transported to the Mohammadzai dumping site and disposed of through environmentally safe methods.
The collection points were disinfected and treated with lime to prevent the spread of germs.
Acting chief executive officer and chairman board of directors Muhammad Saad said that the cleanliness drive was successfully conducted through collective efforts and public support.
