TOBA TEK SINGH: Seven members of a family, among nine, sustained critical burns in fire incidents due to gas leakage from LPG cylinders in Jhang and Bahawalpur on Tuesday.
Seven family members sustained critical burns after a fire erupted in their house due to gas leakage in Satellite Town, Jhang.
Rescue 1122 firefighters extinguished the fire and shifted all the seven injured people to Jhang DHQ Hospital.
They were identified asIrfan Sardar (42), Muhammad Umar Farooq (40), Rabia Saleem (22), Sidra Irfan (35), Ayesha Saleem (24), Asia Umar (45) and Attiya Nazir(45).
BAHAWALPUR: Two persons suffered serious burns when a fire erupted at a restaurant, because of leaking of a gas cylinder, in the Commercial Area, Satellite Town.
According to Rescue 1122, a gas cylinder placed outside a restaurant leaked, causing a fire which engulfed the restaurant and the gas pipeline laid there.
As a result, two employees working in the the restaurant’s kitchen, identified as Mursleen (23) and Ateeq (17), suffered serious burns. The fire also gutted tents and electric wires outside the restaurant.
The Rescue 1122 fire-fighting teams extinguished the fire.
The injured were rushed to the Bahawal Victoria Hospital (BVH), where doctors observed that Mursleen suffered serious burns, while Ateeq had only superficial burns.
In another incident occurring at Chak 49/ DB, according to Yazman Rescue 1122, a man, identified as Javed Iqbal (42), allegedly shot himself in the chest to end his life in his house.
He was rushed to the BVH, where his condition was stated to be serious.
