PYONGYANG: Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto said here today [May 25] that time had come for the Third World countries to … resolutely strive for fundamental remedial action to redress the grave injustice to the poorer nations… . Speaking at the banquet he gave in honour of DPRK President Kim Il Sung at the People’s Cultural Palace, Mr Bhutto said he was confident that as a result of increasing solidarity … among the Third World countries the developed nations would no longer be able to … remain indifferent towards the “fundamental issues confronting us”.
He said: “We have to ask ourselves the question whether the time has not come to give massive expression to this solidarity in a summit conference of the countries of the Third World in order to dismantle the present economic order and replace it by [a] more equitable system on international economic relations”. … He said his talks with Marshal Kim Il Sung had served to promote a closer understanding between them and had enhanced the feelings of amity characterising relations between our two countries. “As Asians we share certain common aspirations, we attach great importance to our visit and our discussions.”
