ISLAMABAD: Former diplomat’s daughter was killed in a road accident near Red Zone.

The deceased was identified as Rayan Wazir, daughter of former ambassador Ayaz Wazir.

The police said that the incident took place at Express Chowk near the old Parade Ground. She was moving on the fast lane in her car. Due to speeding she lost control over the wheels and the car collided with footpath and then hit a tree at adjacent to green belt.

As a result she sustained head injury and died while being taken to hospital.

After the legal proceedings the body was handed over to the family. Besides, her vehicle was shifted to Kohsar police station.
