KARACHI, July 5: Activists of the Sindh Taraqqi Pasand Party led by the party’s Vice-Chairman, Ali Hassan Chandio, on Wednesday held a protest demo at Karachi Press Club against police torture and baton-charge on their party colleagues in Dadu.

The protesters holding banners and placards raised slogans against police and home minister.

Earlier, STPP workers and supporters from Sachal Goth, Jauhar Complex, Gulistan-i-Jauhar, Shanti Nagar, Jumma Goth and Sikandar Goth, in a large number of vehicles converged on the venue of the demonstration.

Addressing the protesters, Mr Chandio condemned the “brutal treatment meted out to STPP workers in Dadu district by police.”

Qasim Chandio, Aijaz Samito, Arif Soomro, Ghulam Mustafa Samito and others also spoke.—PPI
