The commissioner said that billboards, gantries and hoardings installed on public properties are illegal. The concerned departments should prevent them and take action against those responsible.

It was decided in the meeting that DCs, KMC, TMAs and cantonment boards will ensure strict compliance with the orders of the Supreme Court and High Court regarding billboards, hoardings and other publicity materials.

It was also decided that cases would be filed against the concerned officers and advertising agencies for violation of the orders of the superior courts regarding billboards.

The meeting agreed that unsafe billboards, banners, hoardings and gantries installed on private properties are also illegal.
