According to Waseem, a labourer, a resident of Haideri Chowk Town, Badiana, his seven-year-old son Musa, went to the market to buy biscuits and toffees and when he was returning home, he fell into an open manhole near a private college.

He said that passersby and locals present at the scene immediately pulled the injured child out of the around eight-foot-deep manhole.

He said that when a doctor examined the injured child, it transpired that his arm had been fractured.
