PESHAWAR: Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Faisal Karim Kundi, in a meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) provincial president Junaid Akbar and former speaker of the National Assembly Asad Qaisar on Sunday, expressed concern over the federal government’s approach on the wheat crisis in the province, said a statement.

According to the statement, they also agreed upon engaging with the federal government to address issues including taxes in the previously federally administered tribal areas and provincially administered tribal areas.

They also discussed closure of CNG stations in the province besides the problems being faced by the business community in KP.

“They also discussed matters related to the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award besides problems being faced by people in the merged districts,” the statement said, adding that they also held discussion regarding rights and issues of the province.

The meeting was also attended by MNAs Mehmood Shah, Salimur Rehman and former MNA Saeedullah Shah.
