KARACHI, July 3: Three ships to load rice and containers were berthed at MPT and QICT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Monday. Meanwhile, two more ships with containers and iron ore arrived at the outer anchorage. Berth occupancy stood at 78 per cent as eight ships were occupying berths to load and unload containers, rice, furnace oil, edible oil, sugar and wheat.

A cargo volume of 88,020 tons comprising 74,828 tons of import and 13,192 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailing was active as Dymphna and Yong Xiang-9 left the port while Sima Paya and Trust Spirit were due to depart.
