US President Donald Trump has again criticised German Chancellor Friedrich Merz over the latter’s comments on Washington’s conduct of the Iran war.
“He criticised me for doing the whole thing with Iran, but I said, ‘Would you like to have a nuclear weapon in the hands of Iran?’ He said, ‘No I don’t.’ I said, ‘I guess I’m right,’“ Trump says, outlining a discussion with Merz.
“The bottom line is that … you cannot let Iran have a nuclear weapon,” he adds. “It should’ve been done a long time ago, but if you agree that they can’t have a nuclear weapon, then what I did has been executed perfectly,” he adds.
