Case against dog owner after child’s death

TOBA TEK SINGH:Chuttiana police in Toba district registered a case against the unknown owner of a dog, that bit a child, resulting in his death at Chak 331-GB of Pirmahal tehsil on Sunday.

The complainant, Mansoor, stated in the first information report (FIR) registered under sections 289 and 322 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) that the dog that bit the deceased child had a collar around its neck, which showed the animal had been kept as a pet by someone.

Acting on the complaint, the police registered a case against the unidentified owner of the dog and started investigations to trace him.
