ISLAMABAD, June 29: President General Pervez Musharraf has sought a report from Federal Minister for Water and Power Liaquat Ali Jatoi and Sindh Governor Dr Ishrat-ul-Ibad on loadshedding and deteriorating law and order situation in Karachi on Wednesday night and directed them to resolve the issue at the earliest.

Government sources told Online that President Musharraf has taken strict notice of press reports regarding loadshedding that caused widespread disturbances in Karachi.

The president directed the water and power minister, Sindh governor and others to discuss the matter with administration of Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) and report to him about actual situation, sources added.

Following the president’s directive, Federal Minister for Water and Power Liaquat Ali Jatoi has talked to the Karachi Electric Supply Company administration and asked them to end loadshedding in Karachi which was causing unrest and might provoke violence.
