TOBA TEK SINGH: The Rawalpindi-Karachi (45 Up) Pakistan Express narrowly escaped an accident near the Shorkot Cantonment Railway Station on Thursday.

Railway officials said when the train reached the Cantt Station, a pin node fault was detected after which a bogie was separated.

They said that passengers of the separated bogie were shifted to other bogies and the train was allowed to continue its journey.

Railway sources said if the fault had not been detected in time, the train would have been a victim of a major accident.

ACCIDENT: A bus conductor died after falling from his vehicle near the Irrigation Department Residential Colony located on the Lahore-Jaranwala Road in Nankana Sahib on Thursday.

According to Rescue 1122, the deceased was standing in the door of the bus when he slipped and fell on the road from the moving bus. In the meantime, a tractor trolley coming from behind ran over him and he died instantly. He was identified as Umar Farooq (55).
