DERA MURAD JAMALI: Two people were killed in separate fir­­ing incidents in the Dera Murad Jamali and Usta Muhammad areas of Nasirabad and Jaffarabad districts on Wednesday, while an armed group abducted a man from a Mir Hassan village, police said.

In the first incident, unidentified armed men stormed a house in the Badrah area of Gandawah and opened fire, killing Mehr Khan Lashari on the spot before fleeing.Police said the body was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital Gandawah. “The motive behind the killing has not yet been ascertained, and an investigation is underway,” a police official said.

In a separate incident in the Irrigation Colony area of Usta Muhammad, armed assailants shot and killed Rahim Bakhsh Khosa, according to police.

Meanwhile, in Nasirabad district, unidentified arm­ed men abducted Hafiz Ullah Khosa at gunpoint from Mir Hassan village in the Rabi area near Dera Murad Jamali.

Authorities said investigations into both killings and the abduction are ongoing.
