ISLAMABAD, June 28: President General Pervez Musharraf on Wednesday formally inaugurated the renovated Daman-i-Koh picnic resort. The inauguration ceremony was followed by dinner and a musical programme.

Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz was also present on the occasion. Others who attended the ceremony were Interior Minister Aftab Ahmed Khan Sherpao, Defence Minister Rao Sinkandar Iqbal, Secretary Interior Syed Kamal Shah senior military officials and diplomats.

Clad in a pent coat the president hailed the renovation work on Daman-i-Koh resort and directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Kamran Lashari to establish many other such recreational places in Islamabad, a source said.

The president enjoyed the night view of the capital city from the hilly resort.

The resort has been renovated on the directives of former Interior Minister Makhdoom Syed Faisal Salah Hayat.

The renovation work has made the picnic spot more attractive and one of the favourite recreational places in the capital.
