ABBOTTABAD, June 27: The Abbottabad Women’s and Children’s Hospital is almost closed for the last four days because of technical problems in its power supply system. No patient has been admitted to the children and maternity wards and no operation has been carried out during the period.

The hospital administration has put up a notice on the main gate, sating: “Due to power failure and water shortage, no new patient will be admitted.”

It has been learnt that Water and Power Development Authority officials have given an estimate of Rs300,000 expenses for removal of the fault and the hospital administration is unable to provide the funds.
