FAISALABAD, June 26: Scores of burqa-clad women workers of the Sunni Tehrik staged a demonstration in front of the local press club on Monday in protest against the failure of government agencies in nabbing Nishtar Park culprits.

The protesting women marched through various city roads by carrying banners and placards urging the government to expose the faces of the culprits involved in the massacre. They threatened to launch a countrywide movement if the government failed to trace the accused.

Umme Laila, Noor Fatima, Ayesha and Iqra Tahir of the Sunni Tehrik said the government agencies were prolonging the issue by adopting various tactics just to conceal the facts in the Nishtar Park case.

They claimed the Sunni Tehrik had provided vital information to the government about the accused, but no positive step had been taken to resolve the issue.
